Frquently Asked Questions
What is Virtual Office?
Our Virtual Office solution enables your end users to customize their own VoIP solution “in the cloud.” Via Telinta’s brandable self-service portals, you can offer services online virtually anywhere in the world, 24×7. Your customers navigate through a series of self-service portals to select phone numbers, configure an auto-attendant, add extensions, route calls by time of day and day of week, set up voice mail, and more.
Do end users need to use an IP phone?
No. One of the key benefits of Virtual Office is that your customers do not need an IP phone, ATA, or Internet connection. Calls can be routed to their existing landline phone, mobile phone, mobile softphone or any device they need. Virtual Office calls can also be routed to TeliSIM, Telinta’s MVNO SIM card solution enabling you to offer global roaming services for international travelers.
Does Virtual Office require an installer visit?
No. Virtual Office is a totally cloud-based solution using your customer’s existing phone equipment. It does not require any type of installation.
What type of business customer can use Virtual Office?
Virtual Office can be used by any size business customer you serve, however it is perfect for small and home-based businesses who would like to have sophisticated telecom features, without purchasing special IP phone equipment.
Does Virtual Office support fax?
Yes. Users can both send and receive faxes, including fax-to-email and fax-from-PDF.
How do users select their own phone number?
Your customers can select numbers provided from your DID provider via our brandable self-service portal. Our TeliCore softswitch platform includes APIs to several leading DID providers.
Does Telinta provide DIDs or VoIP Termination?
No. Telinta does not provide DIDs or VoIP Termination. Instead we enable our customers to use any provider they need. Telinta has partnered with several leading DID providers and VoIP Termination carriers so that Telinta customers will receive special pricing, however customers are not obligated to use our partners.
Can Virtual Office also provide outbound calling?
Virtual Office is primarily a solution for enabling your customers to better manage their inbound calls. For outbound calls, Virtual Office can easily be integrated with Telinta’s Pinless solution, enabling outbound calling with the option to use the Virtual Office DID as the caller ID. This helps your customers protect their privacy by not revealing the Caller ID for their landline or mobile phone. To do this, the customer would dial an access number for your Pinless service, then dial the number they wish to call, or select from a menu of pre-defined speed-dial numbers.
Can end user companies assign multiple admins?
Yes, your business customers can assign special permissions and admin capabilities to their employees via an easy-to-use interface. This enables them to add extensions and modify configurations based on the permission assigned to their login by the Virtual Office customer.
